This novel was just fine in my opinion. It won't be a novel I really remember or that sticks with me, but it was a fun read while it was happening. I really enjoyed the premise of the novel, but it just felt like it wasn't executed as well as it could have been. I will pick up other novels from this author as I haven't given up completely, but I just felt this one was ho-hum. The characters and the story were so interesting, but execution just fell a little flat for me. I love books about books, but this one was forgettable. A three star rating for me just means it was middle of the road, not great but not horrible. Just an okay read that I may forget in a couple of weeks. I won't recommend this one, but I also won't tell people not to read it. I do have The Latecomer by the same author and will give that one a try for sure! I think the author has talent but needs to develop it a bit more.
