As soon as I read the description of The Plot I was instantly intrigued and couldn’t wait to dive in. And dive in I did! It starts with a slow buildup but then be prepared, because once it picks up you will not want to put it down. Jacob Finch Bonner is an author with one popular novel under his belt but is struggling with an idea for his next one. So in the interim he is teaching a MFA program. That is where he meets Evan Parker. Told through the voice of Jake, and then through pages from his book, this is one of those novels where the less you know going into it the better. That way you can enjoy the ride throughout the story. I really enjoyed The Plot. I read the last 200 plus pages in one sitting late into the night because I couldn’t wait to see how it all played out. Thank you to Celadon Books for the ARC!!!
