The Plot by Jean Hanff Korelitz was just okay. I had a hard time getting into the story. The beginning is very wordy and hard to follow in the first two parts of the novel. It did get a little more interesting in the third part of the novel.
The Plot is about a writer. Jacob Finch Bonner,who once wrote a great book, but has struggled to write another great story, so he started teaching. Where he meets a student and is told an amazing plot. Years later he finds out that the student has died and the novel was never written, so he writes the book himself. Jacob then started to receive messages that he stole the novel, he then tries to figure out who is sending the messages and why they think he stole the novel.
I felt that The Plot was very predictable and easy to see what was going to happen, it might be because I mostly read thrillers and suspense novels, and this one was not complicated.
