After reading the first two chapters of the book, I'm hooked. The main character, although a bit narcissistic (what 'aspiring great American authors' aren't though?), but was relatable. I definitely want to continue reading this book to find out more and what ends up of this character and others that will be introduced. Wanting, at different points of life, to become an author myself, I felt aligned with the main character and in awe of the ability to immerse himself so much in that life, working for a literary house, completing an MFA, and dedicating oneself to writing, to end up possibly getting a hit, but more than likely getting rejection after rejection. I enjoy seeing into that life (as a nosy observer) but also to get a feel for it, even if it is fiction. Can't wait until this comes out.
