The synopsis makes this book sound so interesting. There’s a writer down on his luck and a best selling book and surrounding it all, a mystery. All exciting stuff. The world building was great, the characters were well drawn (Jacob was certainly the sad, down on his luck writer he has been presented to be). However the plot moved slowly. I can only it picks up as the book moves forward.
