Initially this plot seemed a bit cliched to me. However, I am somewhat intrigued by the mystery bit. Who was this young author? Did he actually steal the work from someone else? Why is it he was so arrogant? I don't see how anyone could possibly know for certain a work is going to be well received and it certainly seems like a strange turn of events that this writer would die before he could publish his work or apparently let others know about it. So I am somewhat intrigued.
