This book is uniquely written as it is a book written about a book. The main character is introduced as Jake, a former author who is now struggling so he is teaching classes at a local university after receiving some rejection from publishers. The story first takes us to his initial days at the university where he attends a BBQ with other faculty members and where he meets Alice (I think her character will continue to develop). As a fan of mystery/suspense/thriller titles, I will definitely be adding this to my reading list. I think it will be interesting to see how Jake transitions to the role of an antagonist.
