Immediately, I liked how this book has a literary writing style but one that is direct, personal, and sarcastic at the same time. It's also very descriptive of the surroundings/place - I could really see it in my head! I like that we get some good background on the main character and the setting before we jump into the scene. I'm very intrigued and think this will be an interesting story!
