Coming from the publishing industry and being married to an author I found this story portion interesting. The struggles a writer faces day to day are unlike anything that the normal person will ever understand. Many people think its simple, you just write a story and that's it. But its not, it takes years for just one story to get made, then you have to shop it for a publishers, go through thousand of rejections feeling like a failure along the way. I like this story because it showed that sometimes you get that opportunity to make it big but then it fizzles away and you lose it and lose some of yourself along the way. Then comes the big question what do you do with yourself. Do you try again? Do you do something different? This character feels all of that and more.
