Interesting Premise and Quite Verbose

The premise of the story is what drew me in. It's the "Inception" of authors and their works. However, the actual writing has me on the edge of not liking the novel. The author is definitely an indirect communicator and uses many words to explain a simple action. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but if you are a direct speaker, then it may get a bit taxing reading the story.

However, the plot itself (get it, haha!) is an extremely interesting one. The idea of the story I believe will be enough to get me through. It seems that this author was highly influenced by Charles Dickens. Humor, side notes, and extra explanations abound in this novel.

As for the cover, it is definitely eye-catching. I love the words surrounded by the negative space. From the picture I cannot tell what image is being uncovered, but I am guessing that it is a direct correlation to the mystery.
