I think the beginning of the book is very slow, but not in a bad way. The descriptions make it seem like it is actually from the POV of a college professor. I especially enjoyed when he called out some very stereotypical tropes in books. I definitely am intrigued about the concept of the plot even if it wasn’t really mentioned in the beginning excerpt. As for the cover, it is very simplistic and I don’t really have any opinion on in.
