I was quickly drawn into Jake’s world. I felt his frustration and sense of pathos over his current situation of being a former important writer teaching at a second-rate college. There is immediate tension between Jake and the “blond guy.” I am eager to see how their situation plays out. Compelling story that I want to finish.
