I enjoyed reading this story, it was captivating i could not put it down. Each page had my attention, I have always had an interest in Korea and the background history. It is interesting and amazing to get a glimpse of other countries. The grooms that were Korean immigrants lived in Hawaii, the picture bride is a program due to there not being enough women to marry. This particular story center around three brides that were at Hawaii and we see their experience from Willow. I had no idea that there was a Korean community located in Hawaii, history in this book is very interesting. Most of the brides were young and the men were more older. Lots of young women would want to go hearing about riches from the matchmaker it was false advertisement, lies to deceive them into thinking they would marry handsome man and live in a wonderful life. i would recommend this to fans of history.
