Willow has the opportunity to be a "mail-order" bride for a man in Hawai'i, and as a young woman that dreams of being educated in Korea, the possibility of pursuing an education once she's married and in Hawai'i is too much to pass up. Maybe I'm a pessimist, but it seems like the situation is an El Dorado situation for Willow. There are no guarantees her husband would let her go to school (because men rule the household), and there's no guarantee she'll show up and he'll even be prosperous. Then again, maybe I'm not a pessimist - there would be no story if everything went exactly the way a character dreamed it would.
