The cover evokes a feeling of a young woman setting off for an adventure. The three girls in the narrative have different backgrounds which lends an interesting perspective to their situations traveling from Korea to Hawaii as picture brides. I find the concept fascinating though I felt like the narrative so far is lacking in historical detail and the writing reads a little on the simple side. While I love historical fiction, I’m not sure this is the right choice for me.
