Starting off, I have been trying to read more books by Asian writers. I especially enjoy books that take place during period times. Historic in some way. And I find it really interesting that marriage was a contract merely, and nothing more usually. I find it intriguing that people were okay with this but realize they had no choice. And the stigma around widows is insane. But thats how times were. Very interested to read what happens to willow!
