This queer contemporary romance about soccer, set in Ohio, follows 15-year-old Spencer at a new, more progressive, private school after being bullied out of his old one. Spencer joins the soccer team and we see how he manages being closeted on the boy's soccer team and navigating a crush on one of his teammates.
Super cute, I sped through the book in like two days. It was really easy to read and the rep was amazing, the plot was super interesting and hooked me in. I always love a good queer sports book, which fits perfectly in that genre. The only thing is I didn't like the writing style too much, it was straightforward. I am also not as attached to the characters/story but that is pretty common with standalone contemporaries in my opinion.
