While I have read a few LGBTQ+ novels, I really liked this one and learned a lot about the trans community. I love how the book incorporated information about being trans and some of the hardships trans people experience. It was very eye opening and the story itself was really great as well. I feel that the story of Spencer and his struggle to play on an all male soccer team really made me think about the rights of trans students and members of the trans community as a whole. I feel that a lot of people would benefit from reading this. The writing itself was very easy to follow and read very well. I think the author developed the story and the characters very well in a way that was also believable and helped the readers emotionally connect with the characters. I also loved that all of the characters supported Spencer and his transition as well as supported him with his coming out as well. Just. Great story overall!
