Where do I start with a great book like this! I loved how anytime there was a new character, the author never worded the sentences to make Spencer sound like he would assume any genders or pronouns. It's something that most authors don't take the time to care about so I greatly appreciated this since I have many friends who go through the struggle of the wrong pronouns being used. Many authors stride away from having an autistic character in their books. I'm glad to see that Fitzsimons chose to include Theo as an important part of Spencer's journey. This story doesn't make any of these topics sound like a joke or a fantasy high school romance. It shows the importance of inclusion and supporting everyone no matter the circumstance. I am glad to say that this book was one of the best books I have read that shows a greatly diverse group of people without it being forced. All I have to say is when can we see a second book to this please!
