The passing playbook was an amazing and inclusive story that dealt with some serious topics in a thoughtful and careful way. I respect how the author handled the difficult topics and the conversations that surround those topics, including being LGBTQ+ in a religious home and being trans on a sports team. I loved the relationships between all the characters. The family relationships, the romantic relationship, and the friendships. I loved Riley and Spencer’s little brother, Theo. Everything about this book was perfect and gives the feels! Highly recommend checking it out. Even if you don’t like reading sports books, which I usually don’t, you can find an amazing story here.
Audio specific: I enjoyed Jamie’s narration. It took a minute to get into it but then I fell in love with how Jamie narrated Spencer’s story.
