I think a book such as Mr. Fitzsimon’s fills a need. Anyone identifying as transgender certainly needs to read about those who may be experiencing the same feelings and concerns. I wish the best for Spencer as he tries to fit in at his new school . I’m sure he will face some challenges as he joins the soccer team . This is not a book I have an interest in continuing, but I think it would be a good one for young people who are open minded enough to try and understand people who are different than they are.
