I really enjoyed this excerpt and I look forward to reading the rest! Diversity and representation matter and this book is a perfect example of why. It will obviously get targeted by schools in the South and will probably get put on a few banned books lists but hopefully, the kids who need this book will be able to find this book. It's an important story to tell and I look forward to more from this author. I really like the cover, it says a lot without saying it outright. You might just think it's a gay YA romance but once you read the back cover, you'll see how deep the story goes.
