The title originally turned me off since I expected it to be about cheating in school, but I love Spencer's voice and attitude towards his transition. While reading it, I caught myself thinking uninformed thoughts and was able to call myself out to reframe, which is ALWAYS a fantastic ability for a book. The juxtaposition of ideas like "he had to hide his tampons in case he started his period" really help solidify the experience and challenges for Spencer in his transition, and I super want to see more of that. I also do want to mention that it's already included more than that. Not just a focus on his passing and transition, but also a focus on friendship and romance and figuring out who you are. Love it!
