Now that I’ve started reading this, I can’t wait to finish! I love the initial conflict that’s presented with Spencer wanting to be a part of the soccer team but not wanting to take any risks with exposing his identity. Justice acts as a great motivator as well as Spencer wants to prove him wrong only to be shot down by his parents. I’m willing to predict he’ll try out anyways.
The initial representation is great to see and I love the writing style. The cover is simple but conveys a lot about what the book is about. Even as someone not interested in sports, I’m already excited to know more about Spencer’s journey with soccer.
