It started out really good. Then it got weird. The main character definitely is flaky, and most probably has mental health issues. It reads as if she is talking to her old high school friend. She goes to her high school reunion, and she sees her old best friend. After school, she has only achieved a dull life. She is a cashier at a local supermarket. She avoids any socialization. She obsessively scrapbooks any clippings that have to do with her friend Elise.
Her friend has achieved stardom. I didn't get past the high school reunion. Later, she goes to LA to visit her friend. Abby is an artist, and she has precognition. Eventually Abby finds success. I found it weird and disturbing. Others may like this writing style, but it's not for me.
