The cover art on this book is stunning!

I am torn between and 2 and 3 star rating. It was an easy read, but I felt like the author used obscure vocabulary just to sound more complicated or intelligent. I do not like it when writers do that. It is not necessary with a good story.

The format of the book is one long letter written from Abby to her friend Elise. Abby and Elise were friends in middle school and high school. They then reconnected at their 10 year class reunion. Once they reunited, Abby moved in with Elise in Hollywood. Abby is clearly obsessed with Elise, but it is not clear if she is sexually attracted to her or just has an inappropriate friend obsession. There were so many unnecessary parallel story lines that were left dangling at the end.

Abby has a visionary gift that manifests through her dreams. This was the most interesting part of the book and it could have been expanded on so much more.
