Wow! That was an ending I really did not expect to read. Ms. Acampora's writing feels like poetry, in some cases psychotic poetry. This book is written as though being told from the main character, Abby, to the object of her affection, Elisa. Or maybe obsession is a better way to put it? Ms. Acampora travels that very thin line. Most of the time you think Abby is a bit odd, but not in a concerning way. Every once in awhile she steps over the line, but then comes right back. Did that misstep even happen? Is the reader imagining there is something more going on? Elise is a self-obsessed actor and Abby's actions and thoughts are in many ways reactions to Elise. Add to this situation, the director that both adore who fronts a theory of visionary dreaming and you have a magical, unbalanced, tense story.
