As a reader, I find I prefer to read about unlikable, flawed characters and this book is full of both. I wouldn't say this book is a "thriller", there are times where you just don't know where it's headed but edge of your seat, riveting thriller....in my opinion, no.
The Paper Wasp wasn't for me because I am just not a fan of a poetic writing style. Even though it wasn't my favorite, I will say the writing style never felt confusing, congested and it didn't feel too drawn out.
However, I can say that if you do enjoy that type of writing, this is very well written and you will appreciate it. This review and rating is simply because my reading preference is different.
