The Paper Wasp by Lauren Acampora is one of those novels that leaves you wondering what you just read. The story was strange yet captivating, I just couldn't look away. The cover is the first thing that draws you in, the artwork is absolutely beautiful yet still manages to be creepy at the same time and the story is much the same way. The novel is about Abby Graven, a woman living in a small town who is unsatisfied with her life when at her high school reunion she runs into her former best friend Elise, who is now a rising Hollywood star. Abby decides to follow Elise back to Hollywood and becomes enmeshed in her world. From there the story goes into an obsessed, stalker like perspective that leaves you questioning what you just read.
