I love the tease of a darker side of both girls and this world they both cling to, clawing to get in and stay in. I know the taste of success and even fame and how it can go to one's head and mess with you. I love that this story covers so many sides. The return home and marinating in misery as your friend rises to that fame. Then jumping into the world and getting that taste of it. It reminds me of What Happened to Baby Jane.
