From the first pages you can gather that this is a story about friendship. Two childhood friends are not close anymore, one of them became famous (she is featured in People) and the other one lives a pretty ordinary life. The friend that lives the ordinary life seems to be pretty obsessed about the other one, so much so that she cuts pieces of magazines where she is mentioned and sticks them in a binder she keeps under her bed.
