I love how the author sets the tone of the beginning of the book. You heya glimpse of Abbey’s life now. Simple but she knows she is doesn’t belong in the idle state her life has become. I really enjoyed how the author set a ominous dark undertone. The description of Abbey looking back into the past and going over Abbey and Elise relationship. She is setting up a great story. I want to know more about Elise and her relationship with Abbey and why they stopped being friends in school. What was their real relationship? What happened to end it.
