The synopsis makes it this sound like a thriller about obsession, a girl that wants to be her best friend so badly she'll do anything. But the rest of the synopsis lessens that aspect, so that I'm not sure if this is suspense or contemporary. If the former, I'm all for it. If the latter, I'm not as interested. And the excerpt doesn't really lean either way. I'd probably avoid it entirely.
