Can't Wait To Get Started On My Story
As an artist, the title and cover immediately caught my eye. Like the author, I would like to tell "my story" in my words. After taking painting classes from another artist who likes her students to watch her, I appreciate Jeanne Oliver's introductory words appreciating we need to tell our story, not be guided by another's.
Some of the techniques Jeanne Oliver outlines in her first few chapters I am very familiar with, Gesso, coffee, tea, carbon paper and scratching tools. Some of the tools she lists, I am not familiar with and can't wait to discover how she uses them - natural fibers and rust especially.
I am really looking forward to reading the rest of this story!
