I am really in awe of this book and the author/artist. I like that she emphasizes how art can tell your own personal story. It is nice that she doesn't require you to go out and buy certain art supplies (who knew you could paint with coffee and tea?), but you could use what you have or what you are comfortable with. I think she makes art more accessible to those starting out.
