Wow the ending of this book was so unexpected! What a twist, I didn’t see that coming at all. Even thou I knew there was a twist based on the reviews I’d read. I felt that I read two different books. For 90% of the book it felt like a quick chick lit book but the last 10% of the book was more like a psychological thriller. I was a quick read for me, I couldn’t wait to know how it ended.
Synopsis: Emily has met the man of her dreams, Adam, but there is another woman who is determined to break them up. His mother! Pammie does some crazy things to break them apart. She does it all in a way that only Emily notices and not others around her. Specially not Adam.
For most of the book I was very annoyed at most of the characters (I couldn’t really relate to them). I didn’t like most of Emily’s reactions (why wouldn’t she just leave him!!!) and I couldn’t understand how Pammie could be so mean. I felt like I was watching some romantic comedy where the mom hates the girl her son’s dating but to another level. Even thou I hated the characters so much I think these were well written since they made me react to them so strongly.
The twist at the end is what makes the book a 4 stars book for me. What a crazy twist and ending! While reading this book I was annoyed most of the time and then just amazed at the end. I recommend this book if you want a book that is a quick read with a twist but be warned you will be annoyed with the characters.
