Adam is charming and funny and he adores Emily. This novel is a fun twist on "the other woman" troupe in which the other love in Adams life is his mother Pammie. This was such an entertaining and enjoyable novel with a really nice twist ending. I started and finished this in one sitting because I just had to see how it all played out. Pammie is cunning, manipulative, and downright wicked...a woman you will love to hate. I couldn't decide who I wanted to win as each woman stoops to inexcusable levels to gain Adams attention. So many times I found myself wanting to shake some sense into Emily and say "it's not worth it just walk away." I would recommend this novel to readers who enjoy thrillers that elicit a sense of anticipation and suspense but are not gory or graphic. This novel has a fairly fast paced plot with some darker content (death, abuse) as the story continues but nothing too intense. A fantastic afternoon read to add to your TBR list.
