For a debut, this was definitely a lot better than other thrillers that I have encountered. Truthfully, I found most of this book to be rather predictable. Even the characters were a tad annoying. You start to wonder how this couple even got together. As a reader, you begin to wonder if that is the authors intention so that you keep reading to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
All of that considered, the ending was absolutely worth it. I have heard in the book world that you love or hate it, and I won't say that I loved it, but I also didn't hate it. Sandie Jones did what any author hopes to accomplish, I want to read her subsequent books. All in all, it was enjoyable.
