I struggled to get into this book initially and would read a bit and move onto reading something else a few times. There was a lot of drawing out of events that kept me at a distance for a bit. Emily was often repetitive and Adam didn't seem to be involved in her environment. There was a lot of sex and tension relating to sex as Emily met James. Pammie seemed believable as someone who was contriving to keep her sons Adam and James close to her and at the same time to keep the outside in. The chemistry between Emily and James seemed believable and palpable, however the fact that Adam and James were adversaries was not believable. The tie in at the end seemed rushed, however this books saving grace were Emily's friends and mother. This book was well written. I just wish the plot points would have been a bit tighter. This book will be a hit though.
