This is a girl meets boy; girl and boy fall in love; boy introduces girl to mom; mom does not like girl and tries to sabotage the relationship story. That's how they all work, right?

Emily meets Adam, who is seemingly perfect. Then Adam introduces Emily to his mother, Pammie, and things don't go so well. Pammie will stop at nothing to get Emily to leave Adam. For some reason, Emily persists.

There are many things that I enjoyed about this book, but there were also things that frustrated me to no end. So first, what I liked. The chapters were shorter which made for a very fast read. The story itself kept me on my toes and progressed well. Now, what I didn't like. Emily. There were so many moments in this book where I wanted to shake her and tell her to run for the hills. I could not understand why she stuck around to be with Adam, because honestly, to me, he did not seem that amazing.

The twist at the end was not quite what I saw coming. Though I guess there were some signs here and there. I am apparently not good at predicting endings.

Overall, this was a good story. It kept me engaged even though I was frustrated with the main character too often for my liking.
