This novel has a very slow start but a riveting ending awaits the reader of this novel. The narrator, Emily, has met and fallen in love with the man of her dreams, Adam, but she is confounded by the level of hatred his mother, Pammie, seems to have for him. A battle of wills occurs with Pammie and Emily over Emily’s upcoming marriage to Adam. This novel is well written with great characters but it does take a while to really get into. Once the mystery/suspense of the story builds up the book goes by fast and keeps the reader guessing. Twists and turns will keep you glued to the book until the very last page. This book is definitely worth checking out! A suspense full of mystery, intrigue, and drama.
