I picked up this book from my local library because I liked the cover and the description was intriguing. I like books with twists. Pammie is a great character. The way she manipulates Emily is done so subtly that you're not sure if she really is cruel or just completely oblivious to the tone of her words.

The ending felt really rushed to me. There is one scene where everything comes out and it only lasts a page or two. I was left wondering how that really solves everything. I don't want to give anything away, but I really wanted more details. How did Pammie get there so fast? Why did the police take everyone at their word? The whole book is a "she said/ he said", where's the proof? And did Pammie really have to manipulate Emily in the first place? Couldn't she had just invited her to a private lunch and told her what she knew?

If you like psychological thrillers, you'll enjoy this. Just don't think too much about it after.
