The closer I got to the end of the book, the harder it was to put it down. I wasn't expecting the twist at the end and by the time I got to the twist, I had to read it to the end no matter what the clock said.
I really enjoyed this book and was surprised at the twist towards the end of the book. The story was quick moving and it kept my attention. Emily is very content with being single and spending time with her flatmate Pippa and her best friend Seb and then she met Adam. Adam seemed to be the perfect man and their relationship quickly grows. Everything is perfect between them as they move in together and make plans for their future. Things start to get rocky for them when Adam introduces Emily to his mum Pammie. Pammie seems to take an instant dislike to Emily and she seems determined to wreck havoc in Adam and Emily's relationship. The problem is no one seems to take notice of Pammie's reaction to Emily, including Adam. A cancelled wedding, a fictitious illness, threats and heated arguments almost tear Emily and Adam apart. Will Pammie succeed in tearing Adam and Emily apart? Will Pammie ever accept Emily as a daughter in law? Towards the conclusion of the book there are twists that keep you unable to stop reading.
