Mother in Laws are the worst! That's what this book is telling us. I mean, loosen the apron strings, Mother!
I spent this whole book (as I was supposed to, I assume) loathing this horrid mother in law to be, Pammie. I was absolutely appalled at her behavior and treatment of sweet Emily, and furious with Adam for having such blinders on when it comes to Pammie.
The emotion I felt towards these characters, and the sympathy I felt for Emily was strong. I was pulled into this story big time! When Pammie showed up for the Hen Weekend, I was livid! And the whole fainting thing...please!
But, wow, when everything came out in the end...I was floored.
Sandie did a fantastic job with this story, it was one I truly couldn't put down. Highly recommend.
