At first read, It starts out as the classic Rom-Com. A classic scenario where the witty protagonist meets a handsome man in a bar and gushes over him with her gay best friend and roommate. AND THEN BAM, the story intensifies out of nowhere leaving you with enough details paint the picture, but minimal enough to leave you on the edge of your seat. The writing style is modern and easy to comprehend with some subtle foreshadowing. After reading the last chapter of the preview, my entire perception of the book changed entirely. I re-read the prologue and glanced at the cover and knew that this book is going to be like nothing what I initially thought. Think of "How I Met Your Mother" meets "Bates Motel."
