This book had me addicted right from the start! We follow Emily as she meets Adam in a bar one night after work. Adam hooks Emily right away with his charm and good looks. They are soon at the beginning of a promising relationship until Emily meets Adam's mother. She is just cruel and has Adam wrapped around her finger with no intention of letting him go - especially not to a girl like Emily. She is determined to end this relationship. Pammie (Adam's mom) did some unbelievable things. Things that had me wondering why Emily was sticking around. I had a hard time believing that your average woman would still continue on in a relationship with this much turmoil. So, I continued on and was shocked by twists and turns this book made.
