What do you do when your future mother-in-law makes it her life's mission to destroy yours? Honestly, I would've recorded that witch and exposed her to everyone ASAP. But of course this was a work of fiction so Emily spends months fighting her mother-in-law with tooth and nail to keep her man by her side. I thought the storyline was a bit too drawn out and Emily frustrated me so much because she was SO damn weak! Seriously, can't be anymore of a damsel in distress than she was but it was a fairly quick read. I was in suspense mode up to around 70% which is always a good thing for thrillers. I just felt like it was too much at the end but overall it was a 3/5 ⭐️ read. It wasn’t my favorite book but still a good read.
