Well that was a surprise ending. Jones does a fabulous job of trickling breadcrumbs that make the reader question what is actually going on here. In what could have been an overdone premise, this one feels fresh and interesting. I knew there was more to the story than Emily, the protagonist, could see, but I didn’t catch on to it at all. And that’s saying something. I usually catch on to the twist pretty quickly.

This was a story that I would recommend to my friends who enjoy twisted stories, even though it wasn't a typical "thriller." I certainly will try out more books by author Sandie Jones as this was my first of hers.

With that being said, I’m just not sure than I’ll remember this one in the months and years to come.
