Emily (or call her Em if you wanna make her mad) has gone out to a bar where she happens to meet the man of her dreams. Adam is everything you would want in a boyfriend and she falls quickly. However, (cue the duh duh dum) she has to meet his mother, Pammie. #BewareofPammie. Side note, what 60-something year old woman is named Pammie? Anyhoo, Pammie starts acting weird and doing some passive-aggressive stuff and the book takes off. Emily begins to wonder if it’s her imagination or if Pammie is trying to sabatoge their relationship. It was a great ride and an enjoyable debut. I am picking this one for my book club in August.
