Emily is excited to be engaged to Adam, but she is less than excited about his mother. Pammie is set on doing anything she can to prevent Emily from marrying Adam and Emily soon discovers this engagement and marriage is not going to be the fun she thought it would be. Pammie stops at nothing to try to spoil Emily's dress fitting, bachelorette party, and wedding day. Yet Emily is still determined to marry Adam, even with the baggage of his mother.
This was an entertaining read that has a few good twists in it, especially the one at the end. I did guess the big twist before I got to it at the end, but I think it was because I read a lot of these types of books and also it was well set up. I'm not sure that I would have been able to be as a patient as Emily was, but it certainly made for a fast paced, fun read.
